High loft wadding

  • Natural and synthetic Fiber web;
  • Synthetic Fiber high-loft materials.
High-loft materials are used to wad quilts & other beddings, and to upholster mattresses. Products have fixed structure, and therefore maintain and recover form for substentially longer periods in comparison to needle-punched wadding fleeces. Beddings from high-loft materials are warmer, and provide a dry sleeping environment. There is no fiber filling (fiber penetration through covering fabric) during the product usage time. Please notice, that there are different levels of demand (fire safety class, machine wash & drying, etc.) to private and public use (in hotels, hospitals, in transport vehicles etc.) bedding items for. Our high-loft materials are in a range of 60-1500-g/sq. m, in a maximum 2.5 m width. Pressed poly-packing available. Toom Tekstiil Ltd. manufactures on a per-order basis varying needle-punched shoe felts. Recycled wadding   Toom Tekstiil AS is opening new industrial textile waste recycling & nonwoven thermobonded and needlepunched materials production factory, with location in Viljandi, Estonia. Factory opening is planned in January 2013. The main purpose of this project is to collect industrial textile waste and turn this waste into nonwoven thermobonded materials. Its a new step for responsible environmental thinking and also for cost saving. Nonwoven materials will be sold to soft furniture industry, mattress manufacturers, insulation purposes etc. New factory allows to produce ca 4000 tons nonwoven materials per year. Product weight is 60g/m2 up to 5000g/m2 and maximum trimmed width 3,2 meters. In first phase will be recycled 1500 tons industrial textile waste in a year. The products can be produced from 100% virgin material and can be also added industrial textile waste up to 80%. As innovation, line allows to produce Sandvich Type thermobonded material, which means material can consist from two layers. One layer can be produced for instance 100% virgin material and second layer up to  80% textile waste. Such activity allows many innovative material replacements inside different products.
